The boat tour on the Lake Arrowhead Queen is very enjoyable if you visit Lake Arrowhead during the warmer months, from late Spring to Fall. The tour was very informative, as the boat captain points out many well known waterfront estates, and gives a very thorough backstory to Lake Arrowhead’s history. SkyPark at Santa’s Village is an Outdoor Adventure Park with year-round mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and open air activities in the Skyforest section of Lake Arrowhead, California. Come along as we explore every activity at Santa’s Village during the Fall, Pumpkins in the Pines, event. The Park is on 230-acres of natural forest with meadowlands, ponds and an apple orchard. At the core of SkyPark is The Village, which includes historic log cabin restaurants and shops, seasonal entertainment, and fun open-air activities for both children of all ages and adults. SkyPark’s 10 miles of year-round mountain bike trails, hiking trails, fly fishing, archery, ziplines, seasonal ice skating or roller skating rink, rock climbing and more are available to the public for the price of admission. SkyPark’s conservation program includes the Henck Meadowlands Conservation Trail, Conservation Hikes, and Outdoor Educational Programs for school-age children. 30-acres of the park have been preserved in their pristine condition to remain unused. SkyPark at Santa’s Village opened on December 2, 2016. The original previous Santa’s Village was opened in May 1955, just months before Disneyland in Anaheim. It was the first franchised amusement park, one of three built. Although originally considered a theme park, since its reopening in 2016 it is now categorized as an outdoor adventure park with recreational activities, as opposed to rides, making it a very unique point of interest for tourists and local Southern California natives.

Lake Arrowhead is a great place to visit in Fall, especially when LA county experiences an “Indian Summer” and temperatures are still extreme into October. I quick visit to Lake Arrowhead can offer relief from the heat during those times.
