Pasadena police plan to significantly increase security for this year’s Rose Parade and Rose Bowl game in wake of recent attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, officials said. All levels of law enforcement, including local, state, and federal, are incorporating new protections along the parade route. There will also be more explosive-sniffing dogs in the days leading up to and during the parade, as well as more cameras throughout the city.
The police presence will grow at the New Year’s Day festivities, which attracts approximately 700,000 to Pasadena. Many more uniformed and undercover officers will be moving through the crowds at this years parade.
Ticketing Seating: Reserved grandstand seating for the Rose Parade is available for purchase through Sharp Seating Company, the Official Grandstand Seating Provider, from February 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
Non-Ticketed Seating: Curbside viewing is also available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pasadena city ordinance allows the occupancy of curbside space along the parade route beginning at noon on the day before the parade.
